Dear backers,
Since the last update we've been working hard on finalising the production and the product 🥚🐣🐥.
Production Update
As described in last update, the last months have been spend on product-testing, approving materials, colours, material finish and packaging. It's extremely important for us (and you) that everything works perfect and is fully tested, before we hit the big button and send thousands of Canairis out to you guys.
We're now in the process of approving the final samples and then we'll start the mass production.
The deadline is looking tight but hopefully we will begin to ship out the birds from October as promised!

Hi everyone,
We know that you've been bird-watching for updates and we completely understand the urge to get some updates on the product, the shipping, etc. We have been silent for many reasons - mainly because we have been focusing on testing and iterating on the product.
Production Status
Hans and Andreas (founders) are not experts in engineering and production, which is why we've added a new player to the team. Say Hi to our Production Manager, Thomas, who is helping us with the final chapter of this campaign = GETTING THE PRODUCT READY FOR ALL OF YOU BACKERS 💛

Together with Thomas and our production team we have been optimising Canairi, in the aspects of choosing the final materials, testing sensors, trying to extend battery-life and improve small details around the product. We made a little video explaining some of the new additions to Canairi:
After all these modifications and iterations, we're finally ready to begin the production ...AND WE JUST FINISHED THE TOLLING (!!!) Despite the global shortage of components + shipping delays, our production is still on time and we should be able to ship out the first Canairis from October 🤞 (Knock on wood & fingers crossed).

Very soon, you’ll receive an email from us (through BackerKit) with a link to fill out your shipping information. It’s very important to do this, since we need this information in order to deliver your Canairi(s) 🐥.
When you click the link from the email:
1. (ADD-ONS 🐤) Decide if you want an extra Canairi or an extra wall-mount.
2. (SHIPPING 📦) Provide your shipping information.
3. (CONFIRM ✅) Check-out and pay for the shipping.
4. (WAIT🧘) Now you just have to wait until your Canairi(s) will arrive 💛 **We still expect to deliver the first birds in October, as promised!**
Why do I have to do this?
Maybe you've noticed that you never provided your shipping address through Kickstarter. Unfortunately this is just how Kickstarter works. We wish it was a smooth one-stop shop, but luckily it only takes 2 min.✌️. If you don't fill out your shipping info, we can't deliver Canairi to you. Simple as that...
...and some verygood news!
Production is on-time 🤞
Even though there is a lot of uncertainty in the world regarding the global supply situation, Canairi is still on track with the production and still expect to deliver the first batch in October! Here is a snapshot of some of the recent prototypes.
We are testing and fine-tuning Canairi to deliver a smooth product. (Stuff like: Placement of ON/OFF button, ventilation airflow, battery optimisation, battery level indicator (We actually solved this without the use of light... If Canairi needs charging = bird goes 90 degress👌 Pretty cool, right?)
Canairi was featured at the international design festival 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen. DesignWanted highlights Canairi as one of the most interesting designs on the festival — in good company with guys like FRITZ HANSEN and House of Finn Juhl. We are very proud of this.
