Our little bird has been attacked by a big corporate American eagle 🐥🦅 This means that we have to rename our bird 😢 ...Please help us turn tears into tranquility ☀️!

 a year ago, a bird was born on Kickstarter - by you!🫃🐥💛

Thanks to your backing, Canairi is not just an idea, but a real thing! None of us had previous experience in making a product or running a business - but we had a good idea, a good friendship (still have), a good scoop of happy-go-lucky mentality and an approach to always seek advice and ask for help when in doubt. This approach led to an overwhelming success on Kickstarter and a cascade of amazing milestones that has happened during the last year. Here are a few highlights:

A lot of birds have been flying out the last couple of weeks and most of you backers should have received your bird(s) by now!!! This is an amazing milestone for our little startup and we hope that your new pet is happy in it's new home :)

Dear beloved backers <3,

In our latest update we told you that your Canairi would arrive soon. Unfortunately, we have faced challenges and unforeseen circumstances with production and logistics, so the shipment is delayed. But don't worry your Canairi WILL arrive soon, but this means that it will take a little longer than we expected. We apologize.

For those who bought Canairi as a christmas gift, we recommend you to print this gift-card and place under the tree 🐤🎄 We can't guarantee arrivals before Christmas Eve, but we'll do our very best. 

We ask for your understanding 🙏 and we hope that you can hold the anticipation a little longer 🐤🕙

Extended explanation: 

For those who are new to Kickstarter: When we launched the campaign in April we said that we expected to begin shipping from October. It's important for us to underline that this was an expectation and not a promise. Kickstarter is very different from a regular webshop. After funding a project, the final developments and the whole production phase begins. There are so many variables and unpredictable challenges in this phase, which makes it very hard to determine when the product will be ready for shipping. Since April, we have experienced all kinds of challenges like component-shortage, global shipping delays, global logistic setup and lockdowns. Now it's December and it looks like everyone should be receiving their birds during the next couple of weeks. Seen in the light of other Kickstarter projects that has been more than 1 year delayed, we feel humble to be this close to our expected deadline. We know that this can sound odd, but we hope you understand the many challenges that goes into developing and producing a completely new product and then sending it out to more than 4000 people in 63 countries. Okay, long story short, your bird(s) are going to arrive very soon and we can't wait to see pictures of birds hanging in your homes, offices and classrooms! :-)

You should receive your Canairi soon!

We’re happy to inform you that we will start shipping out Canairis very soon and most backers should receive their Canairi during November and December. Keep in mind that sending out +5000 units to 63 countries is a big logistic task - please have patience 🙏 It will arrive in your mailbox soon!
